This really works! And there are no cheats at work, or it wouldn't work on a new game played from the beginning. And it did.

Note: The tester saves on that page require No$gmb to run

Visual Boy Advance   (Now has CLOCK SUPPORT)
This emulator can run at very fast speeds, depending on your computers speed. It supports any type of gameboy and can be used to trade between red and blue or gold and silver [see readme file in zip] It also supports gamegenie and gameshark codes.  NOTE: To run it, open "gmb.bat". For some reason, opening "no$gmb.exe" doesn't work.
This is the American ROM for Pokémon Crystal.  It is like Yellow was to Red and Blue - same Pokémon, but differences.  Crystal has many changes from Gold/Silver, including:
You can be a boy or a girl
The mystery of the Unown is revealed
There is a battle tower
Suicune has a larger part
Little wooden signposts that appear when you change map
And many more
This is the first version of Pokémon.  It was never released anywhere else, so this is a japanese ROM.  Most if it is translated, though.  It is the same as Red and Blue really, but the graphics are...different
This game is fairly similar to Tetris - getting 3 of the same coloured blocks to make them disappear.  There are other things to it, such as active chains, and many different modes.  I haven't played this much so I can't really say a lot about it
This emulator, when emulating 2 gameboys, will link them as though by link cable, and of course, you know what that means - trading.  It runs at a decent speed, but if your computer is quite slow you may need to be patient.  You can't trade between a Japanese version and an English version, but then there's nothing new there. If you want to trade, I suggest this emulator.

Emulators
ROMs
Play on the Red or Blue pokémon pinball machine to capture pokémon to add to the Pokédex. Includes bonus modes that allow you to capture even more Pokémon (especially the rare ones).  Mew is not in this game.  By cheating to capture Mew, you just get a lot of points rather than Mew itself.
Kinda like the card game.  Includes bonus cards only in the gameboy version.  Win card packs for beating people, trade cards, earn type badges (not like the ones in the other versions), and face the grand masters to be named Trading Card Master.
Visual Boy Advance   (Now has CLOCK SUPPORT)
This is a Game Boy Advance emulator.  You will need this to play Pokémon Ruby and Saphire, or any other GBA games. This is a new version of the emulator. It now has clock support. Make sure that the "Real Time Clock" option is checked in the Emulation menu. You will know if the clock is working because you will not get the error about the internal battery being dry and clock-based functions not working. Unfortunately, yuo still get the message about the save file being corrupt, but as this doesn't seem to cause any problems, there's no point worrying about it.
These are the new pokémon games for the GBA.  They are now available in the US and UK, so these are now in English. This game is not set in Johto or Kanto, but in a new world called Hoenn.  There are 386 pokémon now in total.  However, not all of the pokemon from previous games can be caught, and trading with those is not possible either.  I'm guessing that there are 200 on this game, though I have not completed the Pokédex so I'm not certain.  I have beat the Pokémon League and the highest number I have seen is 199, and that is an ancient pokémon that cannot be seen again.  For some stupid reason I never caught it, but there ya go. It is, however, possible to get all of the original pokémon using gameshark codes. These codes have now been added to the site.

As with previous versions, there are 8 badges, and the gym leaders use the following types: Rock (Rustboro City), Fighting (Dewford Town), Thunder (Mauville City), Fire (Lavaridge Town), Normal (Petalburg City), Flying (Fortree City), Psychic (Mossdeep City), Water (Sootopolis City).

There are none of the original legendary pokémon, but there are new ones. A few people in the town of Pacifidlog mention them. The legendary pokémon are as follows:

RUBY ONLY: Groudon, Latios
SAPPHIRE ONLY: Kyogre, :Latias

BOTH: Rayquaza
Regice, Registeel, Regirock (very creative, arent they?)

Locations of the Legendaries

Groudon/Kyogre
Groudon is found during the plot of Ruby, when Team Magma awaken it with that orb they steal. Kyogre is the same thing on Sapphire, except that it's Team Aqua.

Latios/Latias
Latios/Latias are found randomly in Hoenn. Just like Entei, Raikou and Suicune were on Gold/Silver/Crystal. They can only be found after you have beat the Pokémon League. My advice on trying to find them: Don't look. Unless you have a LOT of patience, you will probably get bored and/or annoyed at them before you find them. If you just go about your normal business, filling your Pokédex and stuff, then sooner or later they will show up. As usual, I find that they are so much easier to find when you aren't looking for them.

Rayquaza
Rayquaza is easy enough to find, if you know where to look. He is at the top of the Sky Pillar. And where's that? Well, take your MACH BIKE (You will need it - the Acro Bike is no use here), and get to Pacifidlog Town. Surf East, along the top of the map, until you see a gap in the rocks. Go up throught it. Follow it round and you will get to a cave. Get through it, it's really short, then head into the Pillar. Then head up it. So what's the Mach Bike for? Well, on floors 2 and 4, there is cracked floor, and only full-speed Mach Bike riding will get you across. Floor 4 is hardest, because you have to get round most of the way in without stopping. Also, you have to fall down a hole at the end of floor 4. Make sure it's the second to last and not the very last one, or you have to get round again. Once you pass this minor setback, head up to floor 6 and take on Rayquaza.

Regirock, Registeel, Regice
As for the Regi's, in order to open the first doors to them you will need:
Relicanth
Wailord
A Pokémon with Surf
A Pokémon with Dive
A Pokémon with Dig

You will need to surf west (left) from Lavaridge Town. Because of the Tides, you have to be careful about where you Surf. Start off near the bottom of the map (near, not right at the bottom), and just headas straight left as you can. You will eventually get to a small area of surf-able water and a small dive spot, unless you miss it, in which case you will have to try again.

Once you find the dive-able area, Dive. Swim down, and you will find some Braille on the wall. It says "Up here." Use dive. You will find yourself in a cave full of rocks with braille on them. Apart from the one on the far wall, these tell you the braille alphabet, the top left saying ABC, and so on. The 2 tiles on the far right are full stop/period (.), and comma (,) below it. Yes, the comma is just a dot, and the full stop isnt. Don't ask why. If you want to work out what you are to do on your own, then use these to work out the sign at the top. If not, read on.

The sign on the far wall reads "Dig here". So guess what, use dig. A tunnel will appear in front of you.

More braille. Ignoring the far wall again for a second, the rest tell a story:

Top left: In this cave we have lived.                                                   Top right: We owe all to the pokemon
Middle left: But, we sealed the pokemon away.                         Middle right: We feared it
Bottom left: Those with courage, those with hope.                     Bottom right: Open a door. An eternal pokemon awaits.

The order that these are to be read is debatable, but it seems to make sense starting at the top and reading across. Although it also makes some sense if you start at the bottom instead. So you choose.

Now then, that far wall: "First comes Relicanth. Last comes Wailord." Put Relicanth first in your team, and Wailord last, and click on the braille again. An earthquake, and the sound of some doors opening far away.

Part 1 complete.

Now then, do you remember those odd rock formations? Those with a big rock in the middle and a ring of smaller rocks around them? Those are where you will find the Regi's. If you don't know what I'm talking about, don't worry.

Regirock
* Need a pokémon with Strength
We'll start with Regirock. He is found in the desert ruins. So head north from Mauville into the desert. Head to the southernmost part of the desert, and there's the rock formations. Except that now the middle rock has a hole in it. Head into the cave. Read the braille. For those of you who want to work it out yourselves, I hope you either wrote down the braille alphabet in the first cave, have a good memory, or have an alphabet handy from somewhere else. For the rest of you, it says "Right, Right, Down, Down. Then, use strength." Not exactly hard to work out. Two steps right, two down, and use strength where you stand. And a cave opens in the middle of the braille. So go take on Regirock.

Registeel
*Need a pokémon with Fly
Now, Registeel is found in the Ancient Tomb. That's helpful, isn't it. Head west from Lillycove, and follow the path until you get to the long non-bike-able grass. Head up left, and up the steps onto the hill. There's the cave you're after. So head in and read that braille. "With new time, hope and love, aim to the sky in the middle." A little more cryptic, but surely you didn't think that the pokémon with Fly was just for decoration? Nope, stand in the middle of the cave, and use Fly. You won't fly anywhere, but the cave will open in the braille. So face Registeel.

Regice
The last Regi. If anybody was wondering, "Regi" means "king" in Japanese. And the King of Ice is found in the Island Cave. So obviously, it's on an island. Head to Dewford Town and surf up the left side of the map. Soon you will get to an island with some trees and a man on. Above this the path splits, so keep to the left one. Up a bit further, and there's that Rock formation again. So go read the braille. It reads: "Stop and wait. Wait for time to pass twice." This is the most cryptic of the braille messeges, except maybe the last one in the first cave. Obviously you have to wait for something. Unless you're still using the older version of VisualBoyAdvance, or another emulator without clock support. 'Cos if you are then the door will open immediately anyway. What you are meant to do, however, is stand and wait for 2 minutes. Then the door appears. So take the short walk through to the final Regi, Regice.

Hacks
This is a version of Pokémon Blue that was hacked by my friend, here known as Ferd the LIX (Roman Numarals, 59...don't ask).  Why this name for the game? Well, in at least some of the towns, all of the warps take you to the wrong place.  Basically, you walk through the door to one building, you're in another.  Walk out of it, your outside somewhere else.  In Pewter, for example, I'd like to see you find the gym or the pokemon centre.  You'll find them eventually...
This is a version of Pokemon Blue that I hacked myself.  I have corrected the error with the first map at last.  Sorry that I hadn't done it when I said I would, I forgot to upload it.  I have changed the layout of all of the towns, changed the wild pokemon in Viridian forest and several routes, and changed a few people's speech.  There are now some rare pokemon on the route before the Indigo Plateau and Victory Road; Eevee, the fossil pokémon [Kabuto and Omanyte], the traded pokémon [Golem, Alakazam, Gengar, Machamp] and, of course, the legendary (though not so wonderful) Mew.  I have corrected the error with the player names, although some of the names are strange.  They all give you the name it says though and you can select Ash for Ash and Gary for Gary, so it should be OK.

A kind of follow-on from the first Trading Card Game, this one involves new opponents and is set a different place.  Afraid that I have nothing more to say on it, because I can't read Japanese.
Pokemon Pinball Ruby/Sapphire
The newest edition to the pinball games. Currently only out in Japan, therefore this is in Japanese. The gameplay is basically the same as the Red/Blue version, but the table layouts are all different.  For some reason, the keys are Left for left flipper and A for the right one. A is also to fire the ball at the beginning. I'm not sure if you can change this or not.
